Lana Martin, 74, of Hopkinsville, died at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Ferguson officiating. Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Funeral Rites will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Danville, KY she was born February 15, 1950 the daughter of the late Charles Stewart Johnson and Elmo Gooch Johnson. She was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Western State Hospital. She was a longtime member and Past Exalted Ruler of the Hopkinsville Elks Lodge #545. She volunteered as the Registered Nurse at Camp MARC for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sons-in-law: Mike Ellis and Tony Stevenson.
Survivors include her husband: Charlie Martin; her children: Jolee Ellis, Cassie (Jason) Tippett, and Kyle Cook all of Hopkinsville, KY; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Max’s Hope Pet Rescue and Pennyroyal Hospice.
