A traffic stop on North Drive in Hopkinsville led to drug and gun charges for two Hopkinsville men Thursday.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 43-year-old Rashad Coker for his license plate not being illuminated and found he had a suspended license.
During the stop, a bag of meth was found in Coker’s pocket and a handgun between him and his passenger 41-year-old Jonathan Bivins.
They were both arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Coker was also charged with possession of meth, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, and rear license plate not illuminated.
