A Hopkinsville man who claimed he was robbed on Hazel Street in Hopkinsville Monday afternoon has been charged with falsely reporting.
Hopkinsville Police say 41-year-old Jaymar Frazier claimed someone tried to take his bicycle from the front yard and he confronted them, a gun was pulled, and he was hit in the head.
After talking with everyone involved, police say it was found that Frazier had taken a lawn mower to hold hostage until the bike was returned and had let the man use the bike.
Frazier is charged with making a false report which generated an emergency response.
