Congressman James Comer recently recognized Chase Hendricks and Colson Thomas, for completing their summer internships in his Paducah district office.
While in their roles, Hendricks and Thomas learned about city and county government operations, met and spoke with 1st Congressional District constituents, and assisted Congressman Comer’s Field Representatives to ensure local issues were addressed.
Comer noted both were a great addition to his team, and were critical in helping he and his staff address concerns of western Kentucky. Both Murray State students, he added, have “bright futures ahead of them,” and he wished them the best as they pursue personal goals.
Hendricks is a Christian County native and junior working toward a degree in psychology. He said his internship with Comer allowed for the listening of constituent concerns, while witnessing how Comer works with those visions and needs.
Thomas is a Trigg County native and junior working toward a degree in political science and pre-law. He said his experience helped him understand how local, state and federal government work together, to “improve lives of Kentucky’s 1st Congressional District.”
