A Hopkinsville woman was charged with possession of drugs after a call of a possible drug overdose on Cox Mill Road Monday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 60-year-old Sherry Austin, who was possibly overdosing on drugs at a home. She had reportedly been given a trespass warning to stay away from the property and an emergency protective order to stay away from the person living in the house.

She was reportedly lethargic and had trouble breathing when they arrived. Police say after a search of her purse, two glass pipes, and suspected drugs were found.

She was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO, second-degree burglary, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
