With the showers and storms expected Friday, the decision has been made to postpone the latest Hoptown Idol competition to next Friday, September 20th.
Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation officials made that call Wednesday morning. The contest, which saw 32 entires at WKDZradio.com, is going to showcase the best four and an additional four following a round of 15 open mic spots next Friday night.
The overall winner of this year’s Hoptown Idol will walk away with a $500 cash prize and a two-hour recording session at ARC Exhibit Studios in Hopkinsville. More information can be obtained by calling Hopkinsville Parks and Recreation at (270) 887-4290.
