On Friday, the Jennie Stuart Health Foundation hosted a private donor preview event to highlight their fundraising efforts for the EC Green Cancer Center.
In August 2023, the Foundation launched a Capital Campaign to support the Center’s transformation.
Sarah Francis, program director of the Foundation, said the evening was dedicated to thanking donors whose contributions enhanced patient amenities, such as a water feature, heated and massaging infusion recliners, a hospitality station, and valet service. She noted some donors received permanent recognition within the Center.
Executive Director Tracey Clark expressed gratitude for the community’s support, noting that the campaign began with a bequest from Bert and Nell Dorris Lilly and grew significantly. CEO Eric Lee praised the Foundation’s vision for focusing on patient comfort, emphasizing that the new amenities will enhance the exceptional care already provided.
Foundation Board Chair Tracey Williams thanked Campaign Co-Chairs Kelley Workman and Dr. Ratilal Gajera for their leadership. Workman and Gajera announced that the campaign exceeded its $1.5 million goal, raising north of $2 million. They thanked all contributors for ensuring outstanding cancer care close to home.
