Hopkinsville is hosting its second annual Boo-tification Home Decorating Contest. The Beautification Commission launched the program last year to celebrate all the spooky scenes gracing yards for Halloween.
Director Heather Braun says they are looking for the spookiest signage, eerie lighting, creepy creatures and creations, and fearsome pumpkin carvings. The contest will run from October 1st to 25th and winners will be chosen in each ward, just like the Christimas decoration contest. Winners will be announced October 30th. Spooky decorators can enter on the Hopkinsville Beautification Facebook page, by calling 270-890-0703, or by emailing heather.braun@h-ky.us.
