Hands On With Agriculture During Christian County Leadership Day

The 2024 Christian County Leadership class experienced agriculture first hand during stops on various farms and at Commonwealth Agri Energy Friday. September 20th.

Agriculture Day Coordinator Josh Arnall says he and several committee work hard to plan Ag Leadership day to give the class an in-depth look at what the agriculture industry means to each of them.

click to download audioAgriculture Day included stops at H & R Agripower, Hunt Farms, Garnett Farms, Orum Farms, and Commonwealth Agri Energy. The lunch stop at Garnett Farms included lunch cooked by the Christian County Cattleman’s Association and a panel discussion moderated by Christian County Ag Extension Agent Matt Futtrell that included Terry Martin from H & R Agripower, farmer David Brame, Agri-Chem General Manager David Buchanon, and Farm Credit Mid-America’s Brandon Garnett.
