A Cadiz man and woman were charged after a traffic stop on Lincoln Avenue Friday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says he stopped a vehicle driven by 36-year-old David Ames for expired registration, and during the stop, the odor of marijuana was coming for the vehicle.
Law Enforcement K9 Rex and Deputy Kenny Vincent were reportedly called to help with the traffic stop, and Rex alerted to the odor of drugs in the vehicle.
Acree says after a search, suspected meth, marijuana, and a glass pipe were found in the passenger’s purse, 39-year-old Stephanie Mannahan.
Ames reportedly told Acree all the drugs were his.
He was arrested and charged with possession of meth and possession of marijuana. She was cited to court on the charge with tampering with physical evidence.
