A Hopkinsville woman was charged with giving false identifying information to law enforcement after a traffic stop on Greenville Road in Christian County Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle for having an obstructed plate and could smell the odor of marijuana inside the vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle, 39-year-old Shawanna Brodie, reportedly told deputies a false name instead of her own.
Deputies say after a search of her purse, her actual ID along with a straw with a white powder residue on it and a small bag of cocaine were found.
She was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and giving the officer false identifying information.
