Genella Campbell, 86, of Hopkinsville

Genella Lancaster Campbell, age 86, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at the Life Care Center of Hickory Woods in Antioch, TN of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Reed Shepherd and Gary Lancaster officiating with burial to follow in Cerulean Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.

Genella was born in Trigg County on June 12, 1938, the daughter of the late Wilton H. and Mildred Francis Lancaster. She retired as a systems programmer for Thomas Industries and was a faithful lifelong member of Cerulean Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Data Processing Management Association, and an avid University of Kentucky sports fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Campbell in 1996; her brother, Wilton H. Lancaster, Jr.; and her sisters, Gustie Lancaster Greene, Dorothy Lancaster Decker, and Janice Lancaster Davie.

Survivors include her daughter Marsha Renee Campbell of Smyrna, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
