James Broderick “Jimmy” Moore, age 66, of Cadiz, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.
He was born in Cadiz on October 6, 1957, to the late Jammie Moore and the late Francis Noel Moore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his stepmother, Sue Dockery Moore Litchfield, as well as a brother, Billy Heady, and sister-in-law, Karen Heady.
Jimmy married the love of his life, Nancy Golladay Moore, on August 12, 1978. He was a devoted husband and father to their son, J.B., and a proud Granddaddy to their three grandsons.
For over 40 years, Jimmy was a familiar face in route sales, dedicating 15 years each to Pepsi and Budweiser, and spending the last 10 years delivering smiles with Little Debbie.
An adventurous soul, Jimmy loved the thrill of boating. He was a passionate fan of college sports, especially football and basketball, and his loyalty to the University of Louisville was unmatched, as he cheered on the Cardinals through every season.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Nancy Golladay Moore; his son and daughter-in-law, J.B., Jr. and Sheena Moore of Cadiz; his grandsons, Aidan, James Broderick, III “Trey”, and Deacon Moore; his brothers, Randy Moore (Regenia) of Kuttawa, KY and Terry Heady (Beverly) of Paducah, KY; and his sisters, Cathy Dougherty (Mike) of Cadiz and Barbara Dixon (Donnie) of Hopkinsville, KY.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at the Lake Barkley State Resort Park Convention Center on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
