A Clarksville man was charged with receiving stolen property after a stolen vehicle was located in the Martinrea parking lot Thursday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they located the vehicle with a stolen Tennessee plate and found that the car had also been reported stolen from McCracken County.

The vehicle was unoccupied, but deputies say a temporary worker at the factory, 25-year-old Shamarkius Oldham, fled out a side door and was taken into custody but gave them false information about his identity.

He reportedly admitted to driving the vehicle for approximately a week. He was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property and theft of a motor vehicle registration plate.

He was also found to have two warrants for failure to appear.
