It is with great sorrow and a heavy heart the family of Bobby Wayne Walden, announce and mourn his untimely passing on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the age of 73 in his home residence in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Bobby will be deeply missed, not just by those who got the privilege of having him in their daily lives, but by all he has crossed paths with. Bobby never believed in the concept of a stranger. He knew EVERYONE! If you were lucky enough to share space with him, you went to sleep that night calling him a friend. And if you were really blessed, you got the privilege to call him Dad or Gramps. Whether you lovingly remembered him for his full head of silver hair, or you forever remembered his passion for large quantities of gold jewelry or grew a fondness towards him because of his passion for collecting Marilyn Monroe décor, he inspired the genuine smiles left behind.
Bobby appreciated the open space, and his motorcycle, boat, or truck ensured he enjoyed every mile of it. Bobby was a dedicated, hardworking, generous, thoughtful, and helpful person who defied the sun by possessing the ability to naturally tan year-round naturally. Those who knew him unanimously thought, based on his personality, that if granted one wish, his response would be to shake every hand in the world.
Bobby was a life-long member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, as well as the Veterans of Foreign War. Bobby offered his support to the community and its residents by offering his transportation services through Med-Transit Company. He enjoyed spending his time in between the land and water. He cherished motorcycle riding and fishing while offering support, love, and commitment to his family and friends.
