A teenager at Bluegrass Learning Academy was charged with abuse of a teacher Wednesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say 18-year-old Gabriel George was charged after he threatened to slap a teacher when they closed his YouTube tab on his laptop and told him to do his work.
George reportedly told police he was trying to start music, his headphones had disconnected, and the teacher had come back and forth several times telling him to do his work.
Police say George has a history of threatening physical harm to school officials. He is charged with abuse of a teacher.
