With concerns of safety for drivers, officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced Friday that there will be a reduction of hours for the Christian County Welcome Center on I-24 near the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
This is beginning nightly through Monday, October 21.
It is due to malfunctioning lighting, and as such, the welcome center building located in Oak Grove will only be open from 7 AM until 10 PM.
KYTC plans to have lighting concerns under control by Monday, allowing the building to remain open overnight.
The rest area parking lot will remain, but there will be no restrooms available during overnight hours.
