Grand Jury Issues Indictments on Rape and Child Porn Charges

The Christian County Grand Jury issued a series of indictments Friday including on charges of rape and distributing child porn.

A true bill was returned on Joel Stoltzfus, of Holton, Indiana, on two counts of first-degree rape – victim under 12, and two counts of incest with a person less than 12 years of age.

Stolzfus is accused of sexual intercourse with a minor by using force and engaging in sexual intercourse with his niece by using force between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008.

Darius Sims, of Detriot, Michigan, was indicted on charges of first-degree rape and three counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

According to the indictment, Sims had sexual intercourse by using force, and subjected a minor under 16 to sexual contact on two occasions and pleasured himself in front of her on one occasion between May 1 and May 2.

A true bill was returned on Kaleb Freeman, of Hopkinsville, on 33 counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor over 12 years old but under 18 years old, between June 10 and September 6.

Hopkinsville Police reported Freeman used an online messaging program, Kik, to send 33 separate files containing photos of a sexual performance by a minor. Police said Freeman was arrested after an interview with law enforcement where he claimed he was aware his actions were illegal.
