A Hopkinsville woman was charged with drug possession after a report of reckless driving on Dawson Springs Road Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say they got out with 36-year-old Kendra Tonjes, who was passed out in her vehicle in a church parking lot after receiving a call of her driving recklessly.

She reportedly had slurred speech, was unsteady on her feet, and dropped a pipe suspected of being used for drugs on the ground.

After a search of her vehicle, police say cocaine and synthetic marijuana were located.

She was taken to the hospital due to her possibly overdosing but was cited to court on charges of failure to notify the department of transportation of an address change, possession of cocaine, DUI, and possession of synthetic drugs.
