Milling and paving work on Lafayette Road that was scheduled to begin on Tuesday has been delayed until Friday. No reason was given in the advisory sent by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet on Tuesday afternoon.
Around four miles of Lafayette Road will be improved, starting at the intersection of the Eagle Way Bypass and Lafayette Road and progress northward to East 18th Street, where the highway splits into a pair of one-way streets.
During this project, on-street parking along these routes will be prohibited.
The project is expected to take around three weeks to complete.
