Genesis Express is set to host its first-ever ‘United to Serve’ banquet in two weeks and is inviting the community to attend.

Al Baker, a tenth-round draft pick by the New York Jets in 1991, will be the guest speaker. He is expected to discuss his experiences at Trigg County High School, the University of Kentucky, and his journey to the NFL – cut short by college injuries. Baker works at Ashland Community and Technical College, where he is the Coordinator of Cultural Diversity.

The banquet is scheduled for Friday evening, November 8th at the Trigg County Recreation Complex. Doors will open at 4:30 PM, and the event begins at 5:00. The group will highlight recent accomplishments and recognize contributions of the Trail Blazers and Genesis members.

A donation of $25 per ticket is encouraged. Tickets can be obtained at the Genesis Express Community Center, 205 Jefferson Street in Cadiz, between Noon and 5:00 PM on Monday, October 28; Thursday, October 31; and Monday, November 4.

A casual meet and greet is scheduled with Baker at the new Genesis Express campus before the banquet from 3:30 to 4:15 PM.
