The most contested seat of the Trigg County Public Schools Board of Education in this election, District 2 will have new leadership take over at the end of 2024.

Proprietor of Bar-B-Que Shack and Bar-B-Que Shack Too, as well as the coming Crusty Pig to Hopkinsville, Hargrove was well received in early totals, and in all took 48.2% of her district’s votes.
The only other contested board race, District 5, went in a landslide to Theresa Allen — who toppled Susan Zaugg 1,121 to 167 in the Cerulean, Montgomery, South Cadiz 2, and Roaring Springs areas.
Board Chair Jo Alyce Harper, of District 4, ran unopposed, and earned 595 votes in Bethesda and northwest Cadiz.
Districts 1 and 3, respectively served by Charlene Sheehan and Clara Beth Hyde, will be on the ballot in 2026.
