A Clarksville man was charged with robbery in connection to a drug transaction that led to a wreck on Madisonville Road Tuesday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called for a single-vehicle collision and found that 18-year-old Jaden Smith was attempting to sell 83 THC vapes to a juvenile when he pulled off taking the vapes and money.

The juvenile grabbed a hold of the vehicle, and Smith reportedly threatened the juvenile with a gun.

Smith’s vehicle ran off the road and into a ditch, leading to the report of a wreck.

Smith was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, receiving stolen property (firearm), tampering with physical evidence, first-degree wanton endangerment, and first-degree robbery.

The handgun used in the crime was previously reported stolen.
