In conjunction with the City of Hopkinsville, the Hopkinsville Small Business Commission, the Christian County Chamber of Commerce and J. Schrecker Jewelry, the Downtown Renaissance District will celebrate this holiday season and the 15th Annual Small Business Saturday® by supporting locally owned small businesses.
This should encourage residents to invest their dollars locally, while partnering with those businesses for a community-wide day of fun and festivities.
“Shop Small Saturday” will take place November 30.
Created by American Express, “Small Business Saturday®” does emphasize the impact small businesses have on communities across the country.
And as part of “Shop Small Saturday,” locally owned businesses are encouraged to offer special sales, conduct drawings for prizes and provide swag to loyal customers who support them year-round.
Free canvas totes will be distributed as part of Small Business Saturday® in downtown Hopkinsville, and this year, the Downtown Renaissance District is partnering with J. Schrecker Jewelry to feature their Christmas Open House.
Furthermore, the Downtown Renaissance District is also partnering with the City of Hopkinsville, the Hopkinsville Small Business Commission and the Christian County Chamber of Commerce to highlight activities being undertaken throughout the community.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
+ Enter for gift card drawings from a variety of small businesses
+ Receive a free caricature drawing of themselves
+ Enjoy holiday open house events, view the downtown storefronts participating in the 2nd annual “Trail of Trees” Walking Tour
+ Support the Small Business Saturday® Craft Fair at Hopkinsville Brewing Company
+ Attend the Christmas Village at the Silo
+ And round out the day attending the Hoptown Holiday Hopfest at the Alhambra Theatre
