A Cadiz man was charged after a Hit-And-run crash on Cadiz Road in Hopkinsville Wednesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a car driven by 26-year-old Damion Mefford hit a truck at the intersection and he got out of the car and fled on foot.
He was later located farther down the road on Cadiz Road and reportedly tried to spit on an officer then headbutted the cruiser window breaking it before being put in the back of a cruiser. At the hospital, Police say he spit on an officer.
Mefford is charged with receiving stolen property, driving on a DUI suspended license, third-degree assault of a police officer, second-degree disorderly conduct, leaving the scene of an accident, and second-degree criminal mischief.
