A vehicle on Country Club Lane was damaged in an attempted theft Monday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say someone damaged the ignition to a 2017 Hyundai Sonata in an attempt to take the vehicle.
No arrest has been made but the report lists the charges as theft by unlawful taking and first-degree criminal mischief.
