A man was flown to a Nashville hospital after being ejected during a crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a northbound SUV was turning into the Marathon gas station when it collided with a southbound truck.

The 24-year-old driver of the SUV was ejected and suffered severe head injuries. He was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter to transport him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.

Witnesses of the crash reportedly stopped and helped control the man’s bleeding while waiting for authorities to arrive.

The driver of the truck and his passenger were taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health and Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for injuries.

Fort Campbell Boulevard in the area of the Love’s Travel Center was blocked for several hours as the crash is reconstructed.
