More information has been released about a wreck that led to an Oak Grove man being flown to a Nashville hospital after being ejected during a crash on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say a northbound SUV driven by 24-year-old Oscar Dominguez was turning into the Marathon gas station when it collided with a southbound truck driven by 36-year-old Andrew Denny.

Dominguez was ejected and suffered severe head injuries. He was taken by Hopkinsville EMS to a waiting helicopter to transport him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Witnesses to the crash stopped and helped control Dominguez’s bleeding while waiting for authorities to arrive.

Police say Denny and one of his passengers were taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health and Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville for injuries. No one else in the vehicle wanted to be treated at a hospital.

Fort Campbell Boulevard in the area of the Love’s Travel Center was blocked for several hours as the crash was reconstructed.
