Funeral services for 85-year-old Mildred Ann Choate Futrell of Cadiz will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at King’s Funeral Home with Alan Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow in East End Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at King’s Funeral Home.
Mildred Ann Choate Futrell was born in Cadiz, on March 6, 1939, to Clifton and Mary Helen Huddleston Choate. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Wylie Futrell, Jr.; two sisters, Hattie Choate Jones and Mary Elizabeth Choate; five brothers, two in infancy, Robert Lee Choate and Joe Ben Choate, Lloyd Choate, Clifford Choate, and Howard Choate.
She passed away Saturday, December 7, 202,4 at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation in Princeton.
Mildred was a member of the Cadiz Church of Christ, a retired seamstress having worked at Trigg Knit, Elk Brand, and Fort Campbell Army Base. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved being outdoors, working with her flowers and gardening.
Survivors:
Two sons: Brent Futrell (Kimberly), Cadiz; and Mike Futrell (Shirley), Cadiz;
Two sisters: Nell King Radford, Hopkinsville; and Marie Mitchell, Cadiz;
Three grandchildren: Greyson Lee Futrell, Cadiz; Jordan Futrell (Rachel), Cadiz; and Katelyn Hopper (Garrett), Hopkinsville;
Three great-grandchildren: Rylan Grace Zimmerman, Hopkinsville; Emma Grace Futrell, Cadiz; and Cayden Rose, Cadiz.
