Mr. James “Mike” Noland, age 73, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House with his children by his side.
Mr. Noland was born on June 5, 1951, in Augusta, Georgia, to the late Marion Noland and Mary Catherine Ryan Noland. Mike was of the Baptist faith being baptized on March 20, 1983, at Wiueca Road Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up in the neighborhood bordering Augusta National Golf Club instilled in Mike a love for golf as a young child that would continue throughout his personal and professional life. He was a PGA Golf Professional having worked at several courses, most notably Murray Country Club, Reynolds Plantation, and Horseshoe Bend Country Club. He served on multiple PGA Golf Committees and Associations throughout his career to help further promote the sport of golf for others to enjoy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Noland.
Survivors include one daughter, Catherine Noland Camp, and husband Seth of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Ryan Parker Noland and wife Courtney of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Suzanne Hammel and husband Bill of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Patricia Noland of Camden, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Hampton Parker Noland, Patterson Allen Noland, and Preston James Noland; also, two nieces and one nephew.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
