Funeral services for 95-year-old Freida Mae Litchfield Cornelius, of Christian County, will be 11 AM Thursday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Cornelius Cemetery.
Visitation will run from 10 AM until the funeral hour.
Survivors include:
Her daughter: Judy Budias, of Christian County;
Her son – in – law: Michael Myers, of Christian County;
Her sister: Eva Joyce Humes, of Hopkinsville;
Her sisters -in–law: Daisy Cornelius, Mary Jane Cornelius, and Betty Cornelius, all of Christian County;
Her grandchildren: Tony (Pam) Hale, Scott Hale, Jeremy (Tonia) Cannon, and Jessica Cannon;
Her great grandchildren: Cody (Melanie) Noffsinger, Chase Noffsinger, Chloe (Brien) Dossett, Kevin Hale, Brandon (Erin) Hale, Andrew (Brittany) Hale, Kristen (Dustin) Sanders, Katelyn (Dylan) Hodge, Kobe Simmons, Alex (Tierra) Hale, Zack Hale, Grace Hale, and Elijiah Hale;
Several great great grandchildren;
And nieces, nephews and cousins.
Among those that will miss her also include her caregivers who have taken such exceptional care of her.
She died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024 at her residence.
A native of Christian County, she was born May 15, 1929, the daughter of late Luther Edgar Litchfield and Beulah Malissa Shepherd Litchfield.
She was a charter member of Christian Heights United Methodist Church where she served in many different capacities. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Bainbridge Homemakers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Arnold Cornelius; her daughter: Sharon Cornelius Myers; her son-in-law: Ed Budias; her granddaughter: Julie Elizabeth Budias; and her father and mother – in – law: Luther and Effie Cornelius.
