The name of a Hopkinsville man who was struck by a train in the area of Woodmill Road has been released Thursday afternoon.
Christian County emergency personnel say 41-year-old Wilford Smith was walking on the tracks when he was hit by the train.
The Christian County Coroner’s office was called shortly after the ambulance arrived on scene and he was pronounced deceased.
His name was released after his family was notified.
