Officials with The Museums of Hopkinsville-Christian County announced Tuesday the newest educational program coming to their repertoire: “Saturday Sleuths!”

Designed for children ages 6-12, students are invited to become detectives and help solve a history mystery at the museum.

It will take place on the last Saturday of every month, with the first planned to take place from 10:30-11:30 AM January 25 at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.

Titled “The Hibernation Heist,” this first excursion involves a museum artifact gone missing, and leaders need help in both discovering the culprit, as well as recovering the lost possession.

This, all while learning about local winter history and how it has impacted the wildlife in the region.

There will be puzzles to solve and a special winter craft connected to the mystery.

Those with questions can contact the museum at (270) 887-4270 or email Learning Coordinator Brett Pritchett: brett@museumsofhopkinsville.org.
