Hopkinsville City Council could be meeting at a new time. Tuesday night, Mayor JR Knight presented the council with a request to move up the meeting times by an hour.

In other business, a second reading of the ordinance to rezone land at the corner of Russellville Road and the bypass passed unanimously. Currently there is no zoning for the Heltsley Farm and this would designate the property under the recently created industrial transition zone.
The newly elected councilmembers were also appointed to several boards.
