Bea Strong Fundraiser Garners Tremendous Support For Family

A Saturday night chili cook-off and auction fundraiser at Cadiz Methodist Church brought a great show of support for Bea Armentrout and her family.

Church member Shea Godwin, who was one of the organizers, said the event raised more than $25,000 with more than 200 people braving the weather to show their support at the church. Godwin says those on hand enjoyed more than 40 gallons of chili and some delicious desserts while bidding on a wide variety of items in the live and silent auction.

The fundraiser was held to benefit the family of two-year old Bea Armentrout who is hospitalized at the Monroe Carell Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt waiting on a heart transplant.
