Citing various nudges in life, Back to Back Foundation Founder Brice Long spoke to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club Tuesday afternoon.
The organization primarily provides Christmas gifts to families in need in Christian, Todd, and Trigg counties, and recently topped the $1 million mark in total donations in the last 20 years. Long and his wife Carie started the non-profit shortly after scoring his first #1 on country radio in 2004.
As for his career, Long said he would not be where he is without the nudge from his father, Jarrell Long, who passed away a few weeks ago.
The Maui show was a fundraiser for one of the schools that burned in the massive Hawaiian blaze of August 2023.
Long estimates he has written between 3,500 and 4,000 songs since being signed to Reba McEntire’s Starstruck Entertainment Company in 1996. At least four of those songs have topped the country music charts for Gary Allan, Jon Pardi, and Randy Houser.
He will have two new songs on Pardi’s 2025 album, ‘Honkytonk Hollywood,’ to be released on Friday, April 11.
