Man Charged With Running From Police During Traffic Stop

A Hopkinsville man was charged with fleeing from law enforcement during a traffic stop on East 18th Street Wednesday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they stopped a vehicle driven by 45-year-old Randy Wimberly and during the stop, he fled on foot but was quickly apprehended.

He was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, trafficking cocaine, operating on a suspended or revoked license, tampering with physical evidence, and failure to wear a seat belt. He was also found to have two warrants for failure to appear.
