Funeral services for 89-year-old Faye Gamble Johnston, of Crofton, will be 1 PM Friday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Thursday.
Survivors include:
Her daughter, Karen Johnston (Doug) Sampley, of Hopkinsville;
Her sister, Helen Blane, of Hopkinsville;
Her grandchildren, Lauren Renee Johnston, Callie Johnston Stewart and Jon Michael Johnston;
And her great grandchild, Rowan Henry Bermudez.
Gary Puryear and David Williams are officiating.
She died at 9:28 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
A native of Hopkins County, Kentucky, she was born June 12, 1935, the daughter of late Solomon Ross Gamble and Mable Jackson Gamble.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Johnston, and her son, Michael Alan Johnston.
She was a member of Bluff Springs Church of Christ.
Following graduation from high school she worked for General Electric and also sold Avon. She was active with the Mother’s Day Out program at First United Methodist Church and retired from the Christian County Public School System having worked as an office assistant at Hopkinsville High School.
