The Hopkinsville Human Relations Commission is ready to celebrate Black History. Tuesday night, the Commission was presented with a proclamation signed by Mayor JR Knight and Judge Executive Jerry Gilliam.
Councilman Mike Velez stood in for Gilliam and read the proclamation.
Knight encouraged the community to celebrate.
The Black History Trivia Bowl will be Saturday, February 15 at Hopkinsville Community College, with the competition beginning at 9 am.
