A wreck on I-169 in Christian County sent two Calhoun men to the hospital Monday morning.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a car driven by Kody Render was southbound at the 27 mile marker when he fell asleep and hit the back of a tractor-trailer driven by Espiridion Alvarez of Elgin, Illinois.
Render’s car then entered the median and part of the northbound lanes before coming to a stop.
Render and his passenger Elijah Knight were both taken by Hopkinsville EMS to Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville for injuries.
The crash was reported to law enforcement at 6:54 am.
