Funeral services for 82-year-old James “J.W.” Ezell of Romeoville, Illinois, and formerly of Cadiz, will be 7 PM Friday at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield, Illinois.
Inurnment will be at a later date in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Cadiz.
Visitation begins at 3 PM Friday.

Survivors include:
Two daughters, Janice Stevoff (David) and Teri Tornabeni (Josh);
Two brothers, Ronnie Ezell (Sandie) and Rick Ezell (Kathy);
Two sisters, Deretha Kennedy and Martha McGill;
A grandson, Josh Tornabeni, Jr.;
And numerous nieces and nephews.
He died Saturday, February 8, 2025, in Shorewood, Illinois.
A longtime resident of Romeoville, Illinois, formerly of Cadiz, he retired from General Motors after many years of service. He was also a lifetime honorary member of the Hampton Park SAC Club.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ezell, and then second wife of 39 years, Diane Ezell; parents, James Carter and Hazel Geneva (nee Stallons) Ezell, also brother Kenneth Ezell and sister Barbara Ezell Finley.
