Officials with The United Way of the Pennyrile issued a reminder Thursday, noting the annual campaign celebration and awards presentation has been scheduled for 5:30 PM Tuesday, February 25, at the Bruce Convention Center in Hopkinsville.
This year’s campaign theme, “Shine Like The Stars,” had a goal of raising $700,000 for its 18 partner agencies in Trigg, Christian and Todd counties.
Awards to be presented are:
+ The Beverly Whitfield Award
+ The J. William Flowers Award
+ As well as several organizational awards for outstanding employee campaigns, increased campaign giving, and those with 100% participation.
Awards will also be presented to area businesses for the greatest impact in Todd and Trigg counties.
Courtesy of sponsors like Jennie Stuart Health, HWEA, United Southern Bank, Pennyrile Electric, Planters Bank, the Bruce Convention Center, the Krusteaz Company and the Trophy House, the event is free to attend.
Behind this campaign, the United Way of the Pennyrile provides funding to more than 40 critical programs offered in the service area.
