Funeral services for 90-year-old Patty Cohoon Gamble, of Hopkinsville, will be 1 PM Tuesday, February 18, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the service hour.
Survivors include:
Her daughter, Tara (Dennis) Roeder, of Herndon;
Her two sisters, Jeanette Gilmore, of Dandridge, Tennessee, Dell (Earl) Shackelford, of Jackson, Tennessee;
Her grandsons, Chad (Beth) Roeder, of Smiths Grove, and Andrew (Sarah) Roeder, of Alvaton;
And her great grandchildren, Kaylee Roeder, Esther Roeder, Peyton Talley, and Blake Talley.
She died of natural causes Friday, February 14, 2025, at her home.
She was born February 20, 1934, in Big Rock, Tennessee, the daughter of late Cloyd and Flois Griffin Cohoon.
She an LPN for Jennie Stuart Medical Center and Dr. Terry Fuqua.
She was also one of the very first school nurses covering the entire Christian County School District.
After retirement, she volunteered at St. Luke Clinic. She was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, where she assisted in the nursery.
She loved gardening, reading, but most importantly she enjoyed taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eugene Gamble in 1995; her three brothers, James “Pink” Cohoon, Robert “Tobe” Cohoon, Clifford “Sal” Cohoon; and her four sisters, Lucille Martin, Eva Waldrop, Sara Fish, and Barbara Rives.
