Todd County Senior Center Back Online After Long Renovation

For nearly a year, citizens waited patiently — as a year-long renovation process unfolded at 104 Morris Weathers Lane in Elkton for the community’s Todd County Senior Center.

During last week’s Pennyrile Area Development District meeting, Area Agency Aging & Independent Living Director Jill Collins confirmed the waiting ended January 29 — as $900,000 of work through C&C Contracting LLC found its finish.

Though receiving great care through a surrogacy at Elkton Nazarene on 305 West Main Street, Collins said the return to a new-look 25-year-old property was a welcome feeling and sight.

Collins said the effort came through a collaboration of several departments, and that the procurement of a $750,000 grant — paired with a Todd County Fiscal Court match — paid sincere dividends.

Specifically, she said PeADD’s Community & Economic Development team made a difference.

C&C Contracting LLC also served as the group in charge of constructing the new Todd County Library, which is directly in front of the senior.
