Alison Buckner, 52, of Hopkinsville

Alison Shantree Shamble Buckner, 52, Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, in Nashville.

Alison, the daughter of the late Rebecca Williams Ladd. Her adoptive father is Walter T. Shamble; her Birth father, Norvil Williamson; and her Stepfather, Simon Ladd. She was born on May 30, 1972, in Christian County.

Alison was a member of Virginia Street Baptist Church and was employed as a LPN for Bradford Heights. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was a caregiver for all and enjoyed nursing.

In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Edward Cayce, Jr. and Evelyn N. Cayce.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Jamie Buckner, Children, Kristian (Sasha) Buckner, Jami (L.J. Stepp) Buckner, Kyan Buckner; Sister, Costin Shamble; Aunt, Mary (Pastor Garfield) Curlin; Mother-in-law, Eula “Edie” Buckner; Sister-in-law, Tori Buckner; Grandchildren, Keyon Buckner, Elijah Beard, Avery Stepp, and Kailee Buckner; a host of family and friends.

Gamble Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 1:00 pm at the All Nations House of Prayer.

Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Thursday at noon at the church.
