A Hendersonville, Tennessee, man was charged with trafficking drugs after a traffic stop on Thompsonville Lane in Oak Grove Tuesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they stopped a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Maurice Ward Jr. for a traffic violation and found him to have two warrants for failure to appear.
A law enforcement K9 reportedly alerted on the vehicle, and after a search, a gun loaded with hollow point ammunition and two bags of suspected fentanyl were found.
Ward was arrested and charged with trafficking fentanyl, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, using restricted ammunition during a felony, failure to or improper signal, and disregarding a stop sign.
