Trigg County Sheriff’s Office has began looking into the hiring of new team members. Those undergoing the hiring process will be interviewed and put through multiple tests.
Sheriff Aaron Acree said the recent addition of a law enforcement training center in Madisonville is beneficial to Western Kentucky.

click to download audioAny new deputy hired is required to undergo training at a law enforcement training center and is also required to complete field training before beginning patrol duties on their own. Prior to the opening of a training facility in Madisonville, all law enforcement officers were required to complete training at Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond.
