A home on Hillside Terrace in Hopkinsville was damaged in a fire Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says a fire on the exterior of the home around an electrical socket was extinguished by an occupant before firefighters arrived.
No one was injured and the fire did not spread to the inside of the home.
