It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jack E. Jourdan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Jack left this world on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at home from natural causes. He was 91 years old.
Visitation will be at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The service will be at the funeral home at 1:00 PM with a private entombment at a later date in Evansville IN. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Tony Jourdan Sr. and Ruth Wade Jourdan and his son, Brad Williams, brother Ralph Jourdan, his sister Betty Helfert, and great grandson Owen Jourdan.
A proud veteran and dedicated lifetime member and officer of VFW Post 1914, Jack’s service to his country was only surpassed by his love for his family and his commitment to the community. He was known for his warm smile, kind heart, and infectious enthusiasm for life.
Jack’s passions were simple yet rich in meaning. He was a man who loved deeply, lived fully, and always kept a positive outlook. His family meant the world to him, and his love for them was evident in everything he did. Jack was a true friend to so many and cherished the relationships he built over the years. He was always on the go, whether it was playing golf with friends, enjoying time with his beloved Yorkie, or cheering on his favorite team—the Cowboys.
Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years Faye. His children, Jackie Jourdan (Susan) IN, Bobby Williams (Kathy) IN, Dave Williams (Valarie) NC, Judy Koerner (Doug) IN, Jeff Jourdan (Gina) IN, Darla Brewer Hopkinsville KY. His siblings, Tony Jourdan Jr. (Marcia) IN, Shirley Jaquess IN. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his devotion to his loved ones, his generous spirit, and his zest for life.
Rest in peace, Papaw. You will forever be missed but never forgotten.
