A Hopkinsville man was charged with burglarizing several Hopkinsville businesses and a school Sunday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 63-year-old Leslie Emry was charged with burglarizing Sapore Italian Restaurant on Saturday after a search of his home led to the discovery of property that was stolen from the business, including a cell phone and a bottle of bourbon.

The investigation led law enforcement to Emry after reviewing the surveillance video.

Police say property stolen from Clarksville and Iowa was also in his possession.

He was also found to be in possession of a bag containing meth, burglary tools, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. Police say he was wanted in connection to a vape store burglary on Lafayette Road and stolen tools from the construction site of the new school on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

Emry was arrested and charged with possession of meth, possession of burglary tools, possession of marijuana, third-degree burglary, and failure to notify an address change to the Department of Transportation.
